VIP van: the most comfortable, to be checked
The VIP Berlin airport van transfer is the only van transfer presented as VIP that we saw. We could not see its price, capacity or reviews: open the page for your date and check whether the rate is per person or per vehicle, and which luggage is accepted, before booking.
Private transfer for 4 people
The private BER transfer is listed from $196 for a group of 4, rated 4.8. Waiting is free for 90 minutes, which leaves margin if your flight is delayed. The listed duration is 1 h 30: that is longer than the trip time given by the other offers, so check it. For a family of four, the price per person stays close to $50.
One-way transfer with meet and greet
The one-way transfer to or from BER takes about 40 minutes and starts at $71.78 for 3 people. A greeter is planned in the arrivals hall, with 45 minutes of waiting. Pick-up is limited to addresses inside the S-Bahn Ring, and only one 20 kg bag per person is accepted. The rating is 4.4, but from only 7 reviews.
Transfer from BER to the centre
The BER transfer to central Berlin is listed from $79 per group of up to 3, in a sedan or minivan. You must give your phone number, the drop-off address and your flight details (airline, number, landing time). One review says no name sign was waiting at arrivals, contrary to the listing: that is one traveller's experience, but keep the driver's number handy. And the train, the S-Bahn or the official taxi?
The figures below come from our guide to Berlin airport (BER).
| Option | Duration | Price |
|---|---|---|
| FEX to Hauptbahnhof | about 23 min | 5 € (ABC ticket) |
| S-Bahn S9 to Alexanderplatz | about 40 min | 5 € (ABC ticket) |
| Metered taxi | depending on traffic | about 58 € (Alexanderplatz) to 63 € (Zoo), city estimate |
So a private transfer costs about as much as a metered taxi for the cheapest offers, with a price fixed at booking, but far more than the train. See also transport in Berlin.
