Official or Tiqets?
Prices are close: Tiqets is simpler if you already buy other entries there, but its no-exchange, no-refund rule matches the official online ticket. The Museumspass is not accepted; the WelcomeCard gives 25% off at the ticket office only.
Length and time slots
Allow about 1.5 hours. The Tiqets listing mentions no slot. After 6 pm it is much quieter; the museum advises entering before 8 pm.
When a guided tour is worth it
The museum is self-guided and hands-on, but texts are in German and English with no audio guide. For wider context, a walking tour of the east is a good complement: see East Berlin and the GDR.
Combine it with
The museum is ten minutes from the TV Tower and close to Museum Island. To go deeper on the Stasi: Stasi Museum.
