Biosphäre Potsdam: prices, opening hours and visiting with children
Biosphäre Potsdam is a big tropical hall in the Volkspark, in the north of Potsdam (Georg-Hermann-Allee 99), with rainforest, a butterfly house, the Aquasphäre (aquarium) and a Dino-Rallye launched on 1 October 2026. Online day ticket: adult 19.01 €, child 6-17 years 12 €, toddler 3-5 years 8 €, family (2 adults, up to 3 children) 41.19 €; free under 3 (official site, 26 October 2026, plus a 6% system fee). At the ticket desk an adult pays 20 €. Open Monday to Friday 9:00-17:00, weekends and public holidays 10:00-17:30; last entry one hour before closing. Allow 2 to 3 hours.
Highlights
The tropical hall
Tropical vegetation under glass, with a rainforest temperature and humidity: ideal in winter.
The Dino-Rallye and Dino-VR
Animated dinosaurs among the plants and a virtual-reality experience (the Dino-VR price was not confirmed).
The butterfly house
Entry closes earlier: last entry 16:40 on weekdays, 17:10 at weekends.
The Aquasphäre

Tips
- The online ticket is slightly cheaper than at the desk. Reduced rate 15 € online (16 € on site) with proof: pupils, students, trainees, unemployed, disabled people. Combined ticket with a day at the Volkspark Potsdam: 21 € on site only. Closed on 24 and 31 December. On 13 and 27 November 2026 it opens at noon only. Special evenings are planned (After Work Lounge on 3 December 2026, 20 €; Nachts im Dschungel on 13 and 27 November). There is no Tiqets ticket for this venue: the practical offer for getting here from Berlin is an excursion to Potsdam. For the rest of the city: Sanssouci and Berlin with children.
