Going from Berlin to Prague by train takes about 3h50 to 4h10, without a change, on the line through Dresden and the Elbe valley. Second-class tickets are found from about €20 to €35, up to €110 depending on the date and how early you book. Since May 2026 an extra direct train links Prague, Dresden, Berlin, Hamburg and Copenhagen. A single day is too short (8 hours on the train round trip): plan at least one night, better two. The Berlin-Prague train
Three possibilities seen: České dráhy's direct train (about 3h48 from Praha-Holešovice to Berlin Hbf), services run with Deutsche Bahn, and a night train of about 4h27. A direct train to Copenhagen has been added since May 2026, passing Dresden at 8:50am and Berlin Hbf at 10:29am in the Prague-to-Berlin direction.
