What is generally accessible
| Place or service | Accessibility | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Buses and trams | low floor | ramp available on request |
| Metro and S-Bahn | lifts at many stations | check breakdowns in the app |
| Museum Island | accessible | confirm for each museum |
| Berlin Wall Memorial | accessible | outdoor layout, a few slopes |
| Cobbled districts (Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg) | difficult in places | plan alternative pavements |
These notes are general: check each site on its official website.
Which tour to choose
For a first discovery, a hop-on hop-off bus with a boat option tops the "wheelchair accessible" selection on a major booking platform. The boat part is only available from April to October. Walking tours of 2 to 3 hours are also listed as accessible: confirm the route with the organiser.
What to avoid
Do not set off without checking the station lift: a breakdown can force a long detour. Avoid uneven cobbles with a manual wheelchair. See also hop-on hop-off bus in Berlin and transport in Berlin.
