Palais Populaire Berlin: Deutsche Bank exhibitions, opening hours and admission

Updated on October 15, 2026

The Palais Populaire is Deutsche Bank's exhibition space at 5 Unter den Linden, in the former Prinzessinnenpalais opposite the State Opera. Several times a year it stages contemporary art shows, often drawn from the bank's collection, across about 750 m². Admission is very cheap (€5) and free on Mondays, which makes it one of the least expensive cultural visits in the centre. Note that the house is closing: Deutsche Bank has announced that the Palais Populaire programme will end by the end of 2026, with a large cultural festival planned for November. If you want to see it, don't wait until 2027, and check the programme before you go. Allow 45 minutes to 1h15 for an exhibition.
