| Tim Raue | 2 | Kreuzberg | Asian signature cuisine |

| CODA | 2 | Neukölln | dessert-led fine dining |
How to choose
For one gala evening, book Rutz. For a shorter meal, look at lunch menus, often cheaper. If you want to taste German cooking without stars, see what to eat in Berlin.
What to avoid
Do not book through a third-party site rather than the restaurant's own. Do not count on a table without a reservation, sometimes opened several weeks ahead. Cancel in time: some houses ask for a deposit. For a less formal guided meal, a Mitte food tour is a good alternative: see food tours in Berlin.
