Anne Frank Zentrum Berlin: exhibition, tickets and opening hours

Updated on October 21, 2026

The Anne Frank Zentrum is housed in Haus Schwarzenberg, at the back of the first courtyard at Rosenthaler Straße 39 (10178 Berlin), a short walk from the Hackesche Höfe. Its permanent exhibition "Alles über Anne" ("All about Anne") tells the story of Anne Frank's life and the era that shaped it, in a biographical and interactive way. It is the only exhibition in Berlin on the history of National Socialism aimed specifically at children, teenagers and families. The centre is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 (closed on Mondays, on 24, 25 and 26 December 2026 and on 1 January 2027). Admission is €8; reduced rate €4 (children aged 11 to 18, students, pensioners, people with disabilities); free for children under 10.

Highlights

The courtyard entrance

You can spot the centre by its yellow glass door and the large mural of Anne Frank on the courtyard wall: Haus Schwarzenberg is one of the most alternative corners of Mitte, covered in street art.

The portrait painted on the courtyard wall welcomes visitors and sets the tone of the exhibition: a story centred on a young girl, not only on History.

The "Alles über Anne" exhibition

A biographical, interactive route designed to help young visitors understand the persecution of the Jews under the Nazis through one individual life. Tickets are booked online with a time slot.

The setting

Haus Schwarzenberg also houses the Otto Weidt Museum of the Workshop for the Blind in the same courtyard: the two visits combine easily.
