Tickets: how it works

We do not sell tickets: everything goes through the official site berlinale.de and the cinemas' box offices. For the 2026 edition, sales opened three days before each screening at 10am, with two seats maximum per person per screening; standard films cost 15 to 20 € depending on the venue, Generation screenings 9 € and audience-day screenings 11 €. These rules are not yet published for 2027: check berlinale.de. The most popular screenings sell out within minutes, so be online when sales open.

Venues around Potsdamer Platz

The Berlinale Palast, at Potsdamer Platz, hosts the competition and galas. Other venues are spread across the city, for example the Zoo Palast, the Delphi Filmpalast or the Cubix at Alexanderplatz (2026 list): the 2027 list will be on berlinale.de. For cinema outside the festival, the Deutsche Kinemathek film museum is at Potsdamer Platz.
