The options compared
| Option | Price seen | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| One museum (official) | EUR 14 (EUR 16 Alte Nationalgalerie) | free under 18, free ticket to collect |
| Museumsinsel ticket (official) | EUR 24 | every museum on the island for a day, Pergamon panorama included |
| Museumspass Berlin (official) | EUR 32 | 30+ museums over three consecutive days |
| Tiqets ticket (box) | shown at booking | 4.7 out of 5 from 1,131 reviews; skip-the-line to Bode, Neues Museum, Altes Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie, the Pergamon panorama and Friedrichswerdersche Kirche; valid 1 day after activation; non-refundable |
Which museums are open
The Pergamonmuseum is closed for renovation and is due to reopen on 4 June 2027; meanwhile "Das Panorama" shows works from Pergamon. The other museums are open Tuesday to Sunday and all are closed on Mondays. Details on our Museum Island page.
Official or Tiqets?
The official ticket is valid all day and can be bought online up to four weeks ahead. Tiqets suits you if you want everything in one app and no queue; its non-refundable rule matters if your day depends on the weather. For a single museum, compare the two: the gap is only worth it if the queue bothers you.
Do you need a Museumspass?
If you plan to see the island plus other city museums in three days, the EUR 32 Museumspass can be cheaper, but it does not cover the Pergamon panorama. Our Museumspass Berlin page does the maths.
When a guided tour is worth it
To grasp the island without reading every label, a tour helps: see the Museum Island tour with a visit to the Neues Museum on GetYourGuide, and compare it with the audio guide included in the museum ticket.
Tips
- Arrive at 10:00 Tuesday to Friday and start with the Neues Museum.
- Bags above 30 x 20 x 10 cm go to the cloakroom.
- For a wet day, see Berlin on a rainy day.
