Badeschiff Berlin: the pool on the Spree, prices, season and Flussbad (2026)
The Badeschiff is a swimming pool in a barge moored on the Spree in Treptow, in front of the Arena Berlin complex. You swim in a real treated-water pool, not in the river, with deckchairs and a bar on the quay. In 2026 entry costs about €8 per person (seen in July 2026; €6.50 in 2024) and is booked online in two-hour slots, with tickets sold four days ahead. The season usually runs from May or June to September, weather permitting; the 2026 season reopened on 20 June, most often from 10am to 10pm. Prices and hours seen in October 2026 on online sources that partly contradict each other (older listings still show €5 or €6.50); confirm on arena.berlin.
Highlights

The floating pool
A former barge turned into a basin, anchored on the Spree with the city and bridges behind: you swim a few metres from the river.
The two-hour slots
Entry is by timed ticket, which limits crowds; without a booking you may not get in on a sunny day.
Flussbad Berlin is not the Badeschiff
The Flussbad is a separate project: swimming in the Spree near Museum Island. We found nothing confirming that it is open to the public, so it is no substitute for the Badeschiff for a swim.
The bar and the evenings
The neighbouring Arena Berlin also hosts events and open-air clubs, so calm is not guaranteed in the evening.

Tips
- Book at least a few days ahead in fine weather and choose a weekday slot for fewer people. Bring swimwear and a towel. For other swimming around Berlin, see the lakes around Berlin or the Müggelsee. The Treptower Park area is close by, to combine with a walk or a boat trip on the Spree (see Spree cruise).
How to get there
Eichenstraße 4, 12435 Berlin (Treptow). S-Bahn Treptower Park, then about 10 minutes on foot along the Spree; or U1 to Schlesisches Tor then walk (check for works).
