Glienicke Palace (Schloss Glienicke), Berlin: opening hours, prices and visit
Glienicke Palace (Schloss Glienicke) is a neoclassical "Italian-style" villa in Berlin's Wannsee district, on the Havel opposite Potsdam. Karl Friedrich Schinkel remodelled it in 1824-1826 for Prince Carl of Prussia, in a park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. The interior can only be seen on a guided tour. Allow 1 hour for the guided visit, plus 1 to 2 hours if you walk the park, which is free.
Highlights

Schinkel's villa
Terraces, loggias and a colonnaded courtyard: the palace imitates a villa of the Roman countryside. Only the guided tour gives access to the rooms.

Lenné's park
Lawns, ponds and views over the Havel, dotted with small buildings (casino, cloister court, Jägerhof). The park is free to enter.

The Glienicke Bridge next door
A few minutes' walk away, the "bridge of spies" overlooks the Jungfernsee.
