How to choose your museums
With an 8-hour night, aim for 4 or 5 museums, not ten. Group them by area:
- Museum Island and Mitte: see the Altes Museum, the Neues Museum and the Pergamonmuseum, very popular, so queues in the evening.
- Kulturforum: the Gemäldegalerie, the Neue Nationalgalerie (both on the 2026 list) and the Philharmonie on foot.
- Charlottenburg: the Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg and the Kunstgewerbemuseum were also on the programme.
Lange Nacht or Museumspass?
The Lange Nacht is better if you like the night atmosphere and visit several museums in one evening. The Museumspass gives access over several days to permanent collections at a different pace: see our comparison WelcomeCard or Museumspass. For free museums see free museums in Berlin.
Getting around at night
No reliable information on special shuttles was found: plan on night public transport (see Berlin transport) and check last trains and night lines before you leave.
